The news section of my website has been a bit quiet for the last couple of years, but there's good reason for that. I have been really busy!
As well as working on my playscript, A(nother) Night in November, as part of the Stage Write Playwright Development Programme at Liverpool's Royal Court Theatre, I've been squirreling away at my master's degree in Comedy Writing with Falmouth University.
Having completed both courses now, I have ended up with a portfolio of work that I'm really proud of! In the last two years, I've written sitcoms, sketch comedy, plays and short films. Some have been for screen, some for audio, some for live performance.
It's been a thrill to see the range of different work I've created, and I'm now just chomping at the bit to share it with producers and audiences! With that in mind, I have added some samples from various scripts I've been working on to my website. You can check them out here!
I'm really excited to share these with you. While choosing a favourite is impossible, I'd say I'm particularly excited to share a sample from my sitcom, Hopeless. This is the project I developed as part of my dissertation on my master's degree (more on that on Monday 👀...), and it feels like the most authentically me thing I've ever written. I'd love for you to have a read and let me know what you think! Remember, I've only included a short sample here, but if you get in touch and ask nicely, I'd be very happy to share the full script with you!

The image above was created by the amazing Ray McEvoy of RMBL Creative! I love it, and I think it really captures the tone of the series so well.
I'd love to hear from you if you've read any of the samples and have any thoughts!
