Mental health work
For the last few years I've been actively involved with mental health charities. Having lived with depression, I know the impact it can have on people's lives, and how important it is to talk about mental health.
I'm very lucky to be part of the production team with the fantastic Jericho Comedy, who have raised over £100k for Oxfordshire Mind in the last few years through our regular Saturday night comedy shows and annual gala performances.
I was also a Community Ambassador for the men's health charity, Movember. My role involved speaking on panels and at Movember events, promoting the charity and hosting fundraising events, and giving interviews to the media. It was an incredibly rewarding experience, and I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to share my experiences and have really incredible conversations with men who have experienced mental health problems.
What can I offer you?
As an experienced public speaker and mental health campaigner, I am comfortable talking candidly about mental health. It's been really rewarding hearing how I've been able to help other people experiencing mental health problems, or offering advice to people who may not know how to talk to a loved one about their experiences.
I can give after-dinner talks, take part in panel discussions, contribute to work away-days - if there's a need for someone to talk about mental health, I am confident I can be of use to you.

World Mental Health Day 2019
For World Mental Health Day 2019, I had the chance to chat to Lilley Mitchell on BBC Radio Oxford about what it means to me, and why speaking out about mental health is so important.
World Suicide Prevention Day 2020
A quick video I made to discuss an area of the suicide discussion that is not talked about enough - passive suicidal ideation.
I wrote an accompanying piece which you can read here.
